Next Week, Tuesday, 4/4/23 we'll be going to - Sedona Heritage Museum - Day 2 Interrupted
We decided to head back for our Day 2 down Jordan Road to the Sedona Heritage Museum. We’ll meet there at 9:30 am on Tuesday, 4/4/23. There are distant red rock and mountain views plus buildings for a change. Just something a little different to tackle if you’re so inclined.
Check the side bar on the right for the directions to Sedona Heritage Museum
Oh, I'm excited, this is going to make things soooo much easier for me as we go on. The directions will be there on the right and I won't have to keep searching through my emails for the last time we went to a place -- hooray! Of course, for now until that list builds I'll still be searching.
Well, I guess you're all wondering what went on this past week and was there still water (not still water but still water remaining 🙄) in Dry Beaver Creek - see pic above. The answer, yes, but not a whole lot. Alright, I'm getting ahead of myself. First let's do our little meet and greet.
Suzette & I arrived and while we were getting our stuff together, Sandy arrived and she immediately discovered that Betty & Nori were already there.
In hindsight we probably could've just painted from the sidewalk in the parking lot. But, daring souls that we are, we ventured down the trail to the waters edge but not before waiting for Nancy to get her gear together since she arrived last.
We did the trek down and here's what we saw.
Last time we were here - that tree was still upright. I know because I painted next to it.
Betty taking a pic and making a pretty pic as she does it.
Gee, that looks like a possible studio painting for another day. Ok, moving on. Betty did actually wind up coming close to choosing that as her spot because here is where she settled.

Nancy off to find a spot, somewhere.
I failed to mention that getting down to this area meant skirting along very muddy areas and stepping around fallen trees and limbs not to mention cowpies. You had to keep alert!
I never did find exactly where Nancy wound up as I went back to near where Betty was set up and found that Suzette, Nori and Sandy also thought that area would make great spots.

Here's a little perspective for the spot situation.

Oh, if you click on the pic of Sandy, you'll be able to see Nori & Suzette in their spots.

While we were there we encountered many visitors. I was actually surprised at the number of people who come to the Ranger Station for info and actually take the trail. It's not a place I ever went to until we started painting there. A number of them had some 4 legged friends.
Oh look, the man is doing a balancing act for us. Hey, a little entertainment as we paint! In case you were wondering, he wobbled but he didn't fall down. Oh dear here we go again, no I don't think he was a Weeble. But he was lucky the little guy with him didn't tug too hard!
Well, 2 hours does go by fast. Since the ground where we were was not conducive to building a gallery (cowpies, etc.). We went back up the trail to the parking lot and hoped that Nancy would realize what time it was and find her way to us.

So, yes, Nancy did make it back in time for her painting to make it into the gallery and for her to join us as we all smiled on 2.

Ok, so it looks like I was doing some weird thing with my hands, but really I had just finished hitting "Camera Remote" on my watch, but at least we were all smiling!
Have a good week and hope to see you at the Heritage Museum!
